New student, new project!

Well, LifeScience-Live has been dark since our crew of summer students departed last August, but the lab has not been quiet! Three new full-time lab members have joined, including PhD student Kody Duhl (far left), who will be writing for LifeScience-Live this summer. Kody came to MSU in the fall through the BioMolecular Sciences Gateway and joined the TerAvest lab this spring.

Kody will be with us for the next 4 to 5 years and become Dr. Duhl sometime around 2021. This summer he’ll be taking on a side project and documenting it here in real time, so anyone can stop by and see what bioenergy research really looks like day to day. We think it’s pretty fun, and we’re excited to share it with you!

Stay tuned for an interview with Kody later this week, so you can get to know our new scientist!
